Surprise Community Park Activities
Surprise Community Park is a beautiful park that offers many activities and amenities for you and your children to enjoy. From playgrounds to fishing to a dog park, it offers a little something for everyone.
Fish at Surprise Lake
At the center of Surprise Community Park is a five-acre lake perfect for fishing. The lake has catfish, trout, bass, sunfish and white amur. A fishing license is required for everyone 14 years or older. Enjoy a relaxing day catching fish or teach your kids what it’s all about.
Bring your furry friends to the Dog Park
Let your dogs socialize and burn off some energy at the Dog Park! The park is complete with drinking fountains for both you and your pet, shade, picnic tables, a holding area and trees and turf.
Let the kids play on the playground
With swings, slides and monkey bars, this is the perfect place for the kids to play while you chill out at a picnic table under the shade. Its also has everything you need to host a party: barbeque facilities, restrooms and and drinking fountains.
Have fun at the many sports facilities
Surprise Community Park has 4 basketball courts, 8 pickle ball courts, 2 net-sand volleyball courts and a baseball stadium. All of the facilities are lighted so you can play day or night.
Check out a book at the library
The Surprise Northwest Regional Library is located right next door to the park! With over 40,000 items to choose from and 60 computers with internet access, this is the perfect place to cool down after a day at the park.
